Pranayama Explained By Swami-ji
If you are even slightly interested in learning more about yogic breathing, you will be rewarded for your effort to listen carefully during this 3-1/2 minute video while Swami-ji explains the true inner and outer experience of the practice of Pranayama, shot on location in the Indian Himalayas.
Affectionately known as Swami-ji, it is a wonder that Swami Sundaranand speaks English as well as he does, considering that he has lived in Gangotri near the source of the sacred Ganges River in the Himalayas, largely engaged in meditation, since taking the brachmacharia sadu vow nearly 60 years ago.
The first dirt road was built in the 1970s, and very few people, including serious yoga practitioners, had the time or fortitude to follow the dangerous, 3-week foot path to sit in the atmosphere of love and light surrounding this enlightened man.
Listen closely and you will feel the cleansing, enlightening power of Pranayama as explained in this short video of Swami Sundaranand, an authentic yogi, spiritual and yoga master who has devoted his life to the path and tradition of yoga.
